Let the Student Employment office assist you with all your job search needs.

The Student Employment office at Columbia Basin College is committed to assisting students with their employment needs. The Student Employment program at CBC serves three purposes:

  • To provide employment for students enabling them to earn a portion of their expenses while pursuing a college education.
  • To enhance the educational development and growth of students by providing work-related learning experiences.
  • To provide academically related work experience which may be of value vocationally in post-college years.

Employment Services
Students and community members seeking employment may register online to view jobs, upload their resumes and apply for positions via the internet. Students are referred to job openings throughout the Tri-Cities area. Interviews are scheduled on campus and resumes are mailed for specific job openings. Visit JOBS!! Register and have access to all our jobs.

Employers may electronically post open positions, contact potential applicants and query for student resumes. Visit Employers Post a Job!

Student Employment
The Student Employment Office provides employment information to CBC students, graduates and the community. Students may find part-time, full-time, temporary and summer work through the office. The range of positions varies from unskilled, part-time work to highly skilled technical positions. Students, graduates and the community may be referred through the Student Employment office at any time during the year.

Work Study
Career-oriented opportunities throughout the Tri-Cities are available to students who qualify. Students are placed in jobs that allow them to gain experience in their field of study.

Job Search Assistance
The Student Employment Office helps students with job search strategies, resume writing, interviewing techniques and how and where to look for employment.

Workshops
Workshops are held throughout the year to provide opportunities for students to meet with professionals in their career fields, design job-search strategies and learn of future career opportunities.

Career Expo - Columbia Basin College annually hosts the Career Expo in the Byron Gjerde Center, Pasco campus. The expo gives CBC students, faculty and staff the opportunity to meet with employers and community members. Students and the community are able to network with 100+ businesses and agencies. Students will have the opportunity to submit resumes, schedule interviews and learn career-related information. Employers can gather resumes to consider for current and future job openings, and schedule interviews with potential candidates during the expo.
